Dance & Music by Henri Matisse

Dance and Music are huge (about 260x390 cm) oil paintings. Pieces were commissioned by Sergei Shchukin, Russian businessman and art collector, and hung together on the staircase of his Moscow mansion until the October Revolution of 1917. Now both paintings are exhibited in The Hermitage,  St. Petersburg.
